Code of Conduct

It is our expectation that everyone is here to have a good gaming experience. We expect that minor indiscretions can be resolved amicably. However, serious violations of the Code of Conduct will result in removal from the group, including online and in-person events.

There are several categories of behaviour, ranging from always OK, to requiring permission, and some which are inappropriate and always unacceptable.

Category 1: Behaviour that is welcome and encouraged.

  • Being engaged and prepared to have a good game.
  • Showing respect toward other individuals and the group.
  • Allowing everyone in a game to have a voice.

Category 2: Behaviour that might be OK, but must have permission.

  • Being overly loud or boisterous when acting out a scene (just keep it reasonable).
  • Taking photographs or video recordings of individuals or the group.
  • Bringing a replica weapon (e.g. plastic sword) to an in-person event.

Category 3: Behaviour that is inappropriate, though assumed to be unintentional.

  • Leaving a mess behind at the end of an in-person session.
  • Making someone else uncomfortable, either in-game or in-person.
  • Including potentially triggering in-game content (e.g graphic violence, sexual content, etc)

Category 4: Behaviour that is harmful or unsafe, and is never acceptable.

  • Persistent or repeated Category 2 or 3 behaviour.
  • Bullying, harassment or discriminating behaviour.
  • Any violent, threatening, or illegal behaviour.
  • Bringing a real weapon (e.g. sword) to an in-person event.

Child Safety

As this is a mixed-age group, special attention needs to be given to maintaining a child-safe environment. The following are all Category 4 behaviours related to child safety. These have a zero tolerance policy.

  • Direct online messaging between an adult and a minor (i.e. keep it in the group chat).
  • Driving an unrelated minor to or from an in-person event if you are alone together.
  • Being alone, one on one, with an unrelated minor while out of sight (out of earshot is OK, but out of sight is not).
  • Purposefully engaging a minor in age inappropriate discussion (e.g graphic violence, sexual content, etc).

Anyone with a child safety concern related to this group or an individual member should contact the admin immediately.
